Vintage Family Project
Welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
I have been fortunate enough to have become a central location for a lot of family
pictures from both sides of my family.  For the most part, the bulk are from my mom's
side with the
Scribners (Grandfather's family) and the Bostocks & Dillows
(Grandmother's family).  I have some from my dad's side of the family, too - the
Browns. I'm working to get the pictures scanned and in here.  I'm lucky because a lot
of the pictures I have are not only in good shape, but also labeled - which is usually the
biggest part of the battle, isn't it?

When last visiting my maternal grandmother, we came across a veritable treasure
trove of family pictures - originally from a photo album my great-grandmother
possessed.  It's absolutely filled with pictures from the 1910s-the 50s. It's great - just
great!  I'm going to try to separate the pictures somehow - so it's seemingly organized,
but haven't yet figured out how, so it'll be interesting!

For pictures that aren't fully labeled, I'll need your help.  If you know of any of them,
please, please, please Email me and let me know.  The more blanks we can fill in, the
better.

I'm scanning these in at a decent resolution and am placing them in here as
thumbnails, so if you'd like a picture, just open it up and save it to your own computer.
This is merely giving them all a central location - as well as a digital backup.

Thanks to all who stop by and check this out.  I hope that you all like what I'm doing
here.  I'm open to suggestions, too, but please bear in mind that my web knowledge is
limited, so making things fancy - well, let's just say there's a lot that I don't know
how to do.  Thank goodness for templates!

On a side note...I'm working on a family tree, too, so eventually I'll set up a link to
that, but...that's one of the things I don't know how to do yet.  I'll start with
something, but it'll be pretty simplistic, so hang tight.  While I've been compiling
information for a while, I only started putting all these pages together (online) back
towards the end of June, '08.  So please be patient - this will get better as time goes
by.

Thanks and please
drop me a line and let me know what you think.  I'd love to hear
from you!
