| New York Giants: 17 New England Patriots: 14 MVP: NY Giants QB - Eli Manning This year's neighborhood festivities were at Chez Lewis where we gathered to root against Tom Brady and the seemingly perfect New England Patriots. While he was my tried and true QB of my 2007 fantasy football team, the Carcassonian Cathars, that season is already in the history books. (I lost - he blamed it on the wind. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.) Loyalties don't last long when you were planning on rooting for a Manning anyway. This time around though, it wasn't Peyton that got the cheers, but his little brother Eli. I'm sure Archie is quite proud after last night's outcome. Football aside though, we were all glad to get together and use this game for the latest excuse to do so. Best part? Probably some of the commercials - the Rocky-inspired Budweiser commercial with the Clydesdale-in-training or the Cars.com ads with their Plan-Bs to name a few. Good stuff, all of it. Of course - it was Lewis' slush machine that made the party. No sense in hiding the truth there! |
