| Montmartre - what a great mix of artists, tourists, bohemians and anyone else who has even the slightest bit of curiosity! Walking up (or taking the funiculaire up) to the Sacre Coeur opens you up to wondrous delights: a gorgeous church with incredible stained glass windows as well as a marvelous panoramic view of the city below. Rounding to the back side of the Sacre Coeur allows you to discover some fun shops - some touristy, yes, but others filled with amazing things. Mom and I had trouble staying within budget in this part of town especially when we wandered the Place du Tertre. It's a fun place to peruse the various wares on sale by a plethora of artists. Mom took it upon herself to do a bit of Christmas shopping this day! |
