Europe 2005 - Brugge, Belgium
Back to Paris Trip 2005
Knowing that for the most part, we were planning on staying in Paris for our
vacation, Mom & I tossed around the idea of taking a day trip into the country.
Mom originally threw out ideas of Giverny, the Loire Valley or Fontainebleau.
Once we had a chance to see the possibilities, we instead opted for a day trip to
another country: Belgium!  Neither one of us had been there before and the
pictures of Brugge looked beautiful.  Upon seeing the medieval city in person,
we both agreed the pictures didn't even get close to doing it justice.

Brugge is a charming town that is known for its lace-making as well as
extremely tasty chocolate.  We bought a little lace, but can you believe I spent
over 40 Euros on chocolate alone?  Granted - it was well worth every eurocent!
