Candidate
Why?

Thanks - Heather
What are the important issues in 2008?
I've been discussing a lot of issues with a lot of people during this election season.  I always like to know why someone
supports a candidate.  What issues are important?  Which candidate will suitably address these issues?  With that in mind, I
thought I'd dedicate a page to showing what people think.  This isn't overly detailed and it certainly isn't scientific by any
means, but hopefully you'll find it interesting.

So would you like to share your opinion?  All I'm asking is a handful of questions - most of which are demographic - including
who your preferred candidate is and why.  This is meant to be informational, so I ask you to please keep it clean and keep it
friendly.  I'd also like to know why you are FOR a candidate more than why you are AGAINST another.  Make sense?  Oh -
and I'm only so technologically advanced, so nothing posts automatically - it's all manually added.  Finally, while I have no
intention of editing your response, I will send it back to you to edit it if its mean or questionable.  We'll save those types of
comments for the blogs on the news sites!  (And no - Republican responses are not automatically considered as being
questionable!  Well...  Just kidding!)

I hope you enjoy this page and get something out of it.  I look forward to hearing back from you all.  Thanks!  Heather

Inspirational, amazing grassroots organization, he's
level-headed, shows good judgement - in the end, it all
comes down to character

For me, it boils down to national experience.  I understand
that it's impossible for anyone to have the experience we
think a politician should have to run for President, but
Clinton has so much more national experience that I think
will benefit her should she be elected.  Obama just doesn't
have it.  He's currently into his 4th year of his first term as
Senator, but he's only spent 2 of those years actually in
office.

I'm not sure which Hillary is running. The one that fought
for universal health care in '92, or the one that got slapped
around on the issue and then quietly began taking
massive donations from the health care industry.

McCain
A - His social views are closer to my own than the other
candidates
B - He has a proven record of reaching "across the aisle"
to get things done
C - He's the one I want answering the phone at 3 AM
because he has the experience and background the
others lack

A note on Obama....I really like this guy and I won't shed a
tear if he wins instead of McCain.  I believe he can be a
unifying force and would, in many ways, move the country
in the right direction.  However, I just need to see a little
more on the resume, more experience dealing with the
huge issues and a clear record of conciliation with
Republicans to meet the common good.

He's proved to be honest and I agree with his policies on
the war in Iraq and his diplomatic agenda.
