Obama For America - Campaign in Louisville, KY
Primary Date: May 20, 2008
On May 10th, I spent the day working at the Obama campaign office in Louisville, KY.  Granted - I was in New Albany
for the weekend visiting some of my cousins, so I was right across the river making it easy to show up for an afternoon.
I didn't do any canvassing while there, so I just hung out in the office, directed supporters and volunteers and entered
volunteer data into the Votebuilder.com database.  Every little bit helps so I made it a data entry day!  Nothing more
exciting than that!  OK - so canvassing is actually more fun because you can get out and talk to people about various
issues and why you support Obama, but like I said - every little bit helps and data entry, maintaining volunteer lists and
such is crucial to running a grassroots organization.

While I was here, I was also able to meet my online friend and fellow Obama supporter, Glenn, from New Albany!  YEA!
Great to be able to put a face to the writer of lots of commentary via Email.  I also got to meet Barack Obama!  OK - I
didn't, but I did meet a big cardboard cutout of him - which, so far, is the closest I've gotten to actually meeting him.

SOMEDAY - I'll be able to hear him speak.  I've filled in for people - who were able to go hear him speak, but I've never
heard him myself, except on TV.  Someday.  :-)

See?  I told you I met Barack Obama!  Ahem.  In the third picture,
Glenn and I are discussing the issues that are important to us.
Barack - he's such a good listener.  He never interrupted us...
Rebecca, from Indianapolis, kept the Obama campaign store
running.  The Louisville office was well-stocked with Obama gear -
much to the delight of all the Obama supporters who walked in!
phone calls.  Below are organizers and then Glenn with his helper
for the day, Sammie.
